"Sep. 09, 1960 - An old acquaintance...met these three pilots on friday, September 2nd, 1960 in the German Museum in Munich: a Bf109 which was given as a present of the Spanish Airforce Ministry to the German Museum in Munich by its constructor, Professor Dr.-Ing. E.H. Willy Messerschmitt, at the same time the 25th birthday of the most famous german fighter plane of the Second World War was celebrated. From left to right: the former fighter plane pilot Josef Priller, Erich Hartmann who has had 352 victory with a Bf109 and who is now major of a fighter plane command of the Federal Army, and Fritz Wendel, the former chief-pilot of the Messerschmitt Werke."
