Mike Short: 1) "Dallas Doll" 12" x 16" oil on linen. P-51-NA-15 Mustang, 352nd FS, 353rd FG and Bf109G-6 of JG54 "Defence of the Reich" in a close pass. This particular P-51 was built at the Dallas plant hence the "Dallas" canopy. I really enjoyed doing this painting! 2) B-25s of the 90th BS 3rd BG skip bomb and strafe Japanese merchant shipping in the Pacific theater. The aircraft depicted is B-25 s/n 41-29727 "Runt's Roost" Pilot – Lt. Helbert, Co-pilot - F/O Ladd, Gunner S/Sgt Epperson, Radio Operator Sgt Piper, T/Sgt Mack H. Nealy and S/Sgt Rush. Painting is 14" x 20" oil on linen. I have been working on this picture between other jobs and am glad to have it almost ready for the frame. Will sign and date the picture when it is dry. It was fun to paint! 3) My latest painting depicts a Hurricane I of No. 73 Squadron in North Africa (Gambut) 5th January 1941 (Pilot is Sgt. A. E. Marshall). On this date he shot down a Savoia-Marchetti S.M. 79. Oil on linen 12 inches x 18 inches.
