A handsome couple - Lotte and Albert Frey.

They survived the war. Sadly, in 2003, when Lotte was very ill, Albert shot her and then himself.

On April 20, 1942, Albert was promoted to SS-Sturmbannführer (Major) and in July 1942 he took over the 1st battalion of the newly established 1st SS Panzer-Grenadier Regiment LSSAH.[3]

For his achievements during the battle between the Donetz and Dnepr at the beginning of 1943, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, and a short time later he was appointed commander of the 1st SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment. He had a brief deployment in Italy, where he convinced an Italian General it was better to surrender than fight. He captured 10.000 prisoners.[3]

He quickly returned to the Eastern Front for the Battle of Kursk where he commanded a battle group, consisting of his regiment, a Panther tank Battalion, an assault gun Company and an artillery Battalion, which fought in the Kiev region. For this successful defence, he received on 27 December 1943 the oak leaves to the Knight's Cross. In March 1944 he was given command of the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler and transferred to the area Kamenez – Podolsk.[3]

In June 1944 the Division was in France for the Battle of Normandy, during which Frey was seriously wounded and had to give up command of the Division.

S-Oscha. Konrad Heubeck. He got Knight Cross as SS-Ustuf. and commander of the 1st Kp/1st SS-PzRgt "LSSAH" in April 1945. He was awarded for his actions during street combats in Varpalota (Hungary). His company on their tanks Pz.V destroyed 11 heavy panzers "IS-2". During war Heubeck personally destroyed 52 enemy tanks. He was wounded and lost his leg. He died in 1987

Подскажите каким цветом рисовались тактические номера на четвёрках участвовавших в "зимнем сражении" за Харьков? В частности во второй роте.

Может быть Лейбштандарт, судя по тому, что ему в своё время выделили "Швиммвагены" и действие ролика происходит на южном участке фронта в мае 1943-го.

Кстати, момент на 0:25 также имеется и в виде фото (можно найти в интернете).

за 2014 и 2015 "Доброволец" - большая редкость! А печатался ли вообще журнал в 2014-15гг?

 

Понятия не имею, но надо найти данные на офицера ЛАГ, жил на севере Германии, скорее всего умер или попал в альтерхайм, что очень маловероятно.

 

Не знаю, было или нет.
