What many people are wondering now is whether or not an IQ test is a good measure of intelligence. IQ is, in fact, a "psychometric" test that assesses mental ability, however defining intelligence is really far from simplicity. Some scientists and psychologists believe intelligence can be somewhat inherited genetically, while others agree with the theory that the growth of the one's mind can be led by social background. The method of determining the actual validity of a certain IQ test in order to measure overall intelligence can be debatable. A lot of people see such tests as an aspect of problem solving skills instead of a metric of assessing intelligence. In addition to this, they're not fool-proof tests of creativity. There are a lot of other important elements to measure individual's intellectual power. IQ tests are, anyway, very popular and thanks to their capability of measuring intelligence, they've been worldwide used by a lot of firms and institutions.
